Resthaven Murray Bridge offers 96 aged care places, including a 15-place secure dementia unit places and two respite places.

The newly redeveloped site offers rooms with views of the River Murray, and more. All rooms have a private ensuite, built-in wardrobe, and individual heating/cooling.

Incorporating excellent security, monitored fire safety and sprinkler systems, modern lighting and vibrant colour, there is generous building space. The site features a barbeque area, dining areas, gardens, hairdressing salon, internet access, laundry, library, lounges and a shop trolley. Worship services are regularly conducted.

With a varied lifestyle program on offer, residents enjoy trips on the Resthaven bus, guest speakers, concerts, entertainment and a wide range of activities. There is always something going on!

Unique test can predict if you have dementia up to nine years earlier

An international research team led by Queen Mary University of London, UK, has developed a new method for predicting dementia with an over 80 per cent accuracy and up to nine years before diagnosis. The new method provides a more accurate way to predict dementia than memory tests or measurements of brain shrinkage, two commonly used methods for diagnosing dementia.
