Bushland setting in the heart of the Hunter Valley
Your new home at RFBI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village is surrounded by the bushland and rural views for which the district is famous. Kurri Kurri is a delightful town in the Hunter Region, 15km from Cessnock, close to local vineyards and wineries.
The village is 2 km from the Kurri Kurri business district and has a lovely rural outlook. Set in more than three hectares of gardens, the grounds are surrounded by natural bush and native birds and kangaroos are frequent visitors to the property.
Life in the village is as active or quiet as you’d like. You can choose from a wide variety of weekday activities games, bingo, bowls, exercises, Nintendo Wii gaming, concerts, music therapy, pet therapy, cooking, woodwork, craft, bus trips, movies and many more. You can also join our card and gardening groups and enjoy many special events, such as Anzac Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Valentine’s Day and Christmas. A monthly newsletter brings you news of activities and upcoming events.
The village has its own bus, with wheelchair access, which is used for regular outings including excursions and shopping.

RFBI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village comprises 91 residential care rooms, including Amaroo House which has have 13 beds providing a secure environment for those residents living with dementia. The staff at Amaroo are specifically trained for caring for their specific needs. Activities are based around resident needs and abilities.
All rooms are singles with private en-suite bathrooms, balconies and air conditioning. We furnish the rooms but encourage you to bring in personal furnishings and items to give your room a personal touch. Phones, internet and pay TV are also available at additional cost. Many rooms have direct access to outdoor areas.
We have several lounge areas, children’s play areas and other spaces for parties and family gatherings. RFBI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village has extensive gardens and outdoor areas, most accessible to wheelchairs. There is a hair salon on site with two regular hairdressers and a computer kiosk, providing computers and internet access.
Our compassionate 24-hour nursing care is provided by registered on-site nurses supported by our dedicated team of care staff.
Other regular professional services include a physiotherapist, podiatrist, speech pathologist and dietician. Staff is supported by the local area health service, which provides specialists in mental health, palliative care and geriatrics.
All our catering is prepared on site. The menu is seasonal and special diets are catered for.
