After eight years of searching for their perfect home, Peter and Eileen McGann found Anglicare's Caddens Village in Penrith and have never looked back.

Before moving in to Caddens Village, the couple previously lived in Glenmore Park in a home that had become too large for them to maintain.

"The village just ticked all the right boxes," Eileen said.

"We didn't have to move out of the area. We had access to our doctors and healthcare facilities. The location was great and our new neighbours were wonderful."

Located just three kilometres from the heart of Penrith, Caddens Village offers the latest in retirement design, a comfortable secure lifestyle and is pet-friendly.

Close to healthcare providers, shops, restaurants, cafes and a number of sporting and RSL club, the village also has a residential aged care home should circumstances change for residents in the future.

"Our children had grown and left the family home and we were looking to downsize," Pete said.

"We enjoy a wonderful social life here at Caddens Village. I play table tennis and lawn bowls. You can be involved in as many or as little social activities as you wish."

The community centre is the hub of activity with a dining and lounge area, a muli-purpose room perfect for movie nights, church services and special events.

Relax on the alfresco terrace and watch the competition unfold on the bowling green or take a dip in the outdoor pool. Stay active at the gym or break out the tools in the resident workshop.
