MacDonnell Regional Council Home Care
Locally referred to as MacCare, Aged and Disability Services (formerly known as Home Care) extend care and assistance to clients residing in eight communities under the jurisdiction of the MacDonnell Regional Council. Moreover, they also oversee the implementation of the School Nutrition Program in five of these locations.
MacCare furnishes culturally sensitive services tailored to the needs of individuals and families, emphasizing the preservation of cultural heritage, human dignity, social equity, and a wholesome way of life. Our primary objective is to facilitate the realization of each person's aspirations, choices, and preferences concerning their life, including the option to stay connected to their native land.
Clients have access to a variety of support services, such as:
1. Nutritious meals

5. Excursions to the bush
6. Support with toileting and showering
7. Care coordination and planning
